Associate
Heather was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona. She received both her bachelor's degree (B.A. Summa Cum Laude, Anthropology, 2005) and Juris Doctor ( Cum Laude, 2008) from the University of Arizona. She was admitted to practice in Arizona in 2008, when she worked as a Deputy County Attorney, prosecuting for the Pima County Attorney's Office in Tucson. Heather moved to Cissna Park and joined Spenn, Johnson & Thompson in March 2015, and then joined Martensen, Niemann and Sorensen in December 2017. Heather is a member of the Illinois State, Arizona State (inactive) and the Iroquois County Bar Associations, the Illinois Township Attorneys Association, and is an associate member of the Illinois Association of Drainage Districts. Heather resides on her husband Brady's family farm in rural Cissna Park with their four daughters. Away from the office, she enjoys her girls and helps feed their small cattle herd while Brady farms and flies a medical helicopter out of Joliet, IL.
